Wish I would of went with more converter mines a dog down low and the spinning doesnt help. I ran 14.8 @96 on 22's with a 2.4 60ft. I cannot hook at all. Ordering some slicks on friday hopefully to see what it really has in it.

im with nonnie. have you tried flashing that converter? I bet that truck would run good with a 9.5" 3600 converter. you can tow 2000lbs with it and a 40k cooler. hopefully its not alot of stop and go towing lol.

If your truck is any kind of a daily driver there is no way in hell i'd cruise around with 4.56 gears and 4k stall, that would annoy the **** out of anyone, Im not saying it can't be done, just saying you kind of lose the funcitionality of having a truck in the first place.

I say Leave the cam in there (Its a healthy size cam for a 4.8) and step up the stall/get LT's and you'll be more than happy with the results.

Good luck man

I ran it Friday night with flashing the converter and the best I got out of it was 9.7 2.23 60' at 74 on 20 psi in stock 245/70/17 tires hooking up decent, my long tubes and 275/45/17 slicks are in my room just hanging out til I have time off work to put them on... An I thought about doing the 212/218 high lift cam since I already rev to 6800 rpm's ... Or would the low lift be better . I'm gonna keep the 3200 stall since I do have to tow

i would install the lt's and run it on the slicks before you make any decisions. view your timeslip after the new mods and decide from there
