Listen to rj - what the dealer doesn't know won't hurt you.

(rj, the poll is a seven-to-seven tie as of this post)

Mod it! But those wheels and all chrome front cladding would be first on my hit list.

I vote do a tune and basics on it. On my 6.2 I have swapped to a salvage yard score volant and a magnaflow muff and deleted the resonator then ported and polished the 3rd cat. A tune has been on the list but time to get it done is my only limiting factor. That's all I'm doing and sounds like you are on about the same path as me.

I'm kinda waiting on winter to get here or weather to cool back down to get the tune done. It's so hot in our area I have found in the past when tuned in moderate 50-65 degree air the tune overall works waay better than getting it tuned with 110 oat and 140 degree IATS.

CODYG, you may want to hold off until you confirm the ability of the dealer to identify a non GM calibration. Don't want to start a pissin match here but you are concerned about the warranty on your 35k financed truck!
Affected
Model(s):
2006-2011 GM Passenger Cars and Light Duty Trucks (Excluding Saab 9-7X); 2006-2009 HUMMER
H2; 2006-2010 HUMMER H3; Equipped with V8 Gas Powered Engines Only
Attention: This bulletin applies to V8 gas powered engines ONLY. For Duramax™ diesel powered engines, refer
to the latest version of Corporate Bulletin Number 08-06-04-006G.
Supercedes: This bulletin is being revised to add the 2011 model year. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number
09-06-04-026A (Section 06 - Engine/Propulsion System).
"When alteration to the GM-released engine or transmission control calibrations occurs, it subjects powertrain and
driveline components (engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshaft and rear axle) to stresses that were not tested by
General Motors. It is because of these unknown stresses, and the potential to alter reliability, durability and emissions
performance, that GM has adopted a policy that prevents any UNAUTHORIZED dealer warranty claim submissions
to any remaining warranty coverage, to the powertrain and driveline components whenever the presence of a non-GM
(aftermarket) calibration is confirmed - even if the non-GM control module calibration is subsequently removed."
Labor Operation - Z1111 / Description - Suspected Tampering or Vehicle Mods
Labor Time - 0.2 hrs.
Reference # 09-06-04-026C
Date of Issue - 08-31-10
I can get the rest of the info if you want.
Can any one share with us if this does include our GMT900 trucks.
I have not tuned my 6.2 truck but have driven a couple that were and damn near jumped in until I found this TSB.
My vote is no to keep your warranty, But yes if your warranty is not an issue!
