I didnt turn anything up in a search. I was wondering what muffler I should go with. Muffler only keeping the stock pipes. I just want to make my 4.8 a bit louder. I like the tone of the stock muffler but would like it to be louder. What are you guys using?

Magnaflow hands down. On stock manifolds and cats, a 22" long 3"in/3"out will sound stock unless you are on the gas, 18" will have a little rumble, anything smaller will obviously have more rumble.

 

I got a magnaflow 18" dumped and its not very loud at all, just gives it a little rumble

 

How do they sound on the highway?

I am die hard magnaflow fan. I have had 5 different ones on my truck

 

since i do alot of highway driving the 18" dumped was the only one that was tolerable for me. i had a dual out 40 series flowmaster dumped on it and got too loud for me.

 

Spintech or a small cased aerochamber. I loved my aerochamber on my TA so much I'm putting one on my truck. As soon as I can sell or trade the catback that I have that won't fit my truck.

I swapped my 6.2 muff for a 3.5" glasspack and kept the resonator. Sounds great
