Talking Ls6 cam in 4.8????

Have a chance to pick up a full ls6 cam kit for cheap ..... Would it be worth it in my 4.8 , will have 3200 stall , longtubes full exhaust , tune , 4.56 gears . Then maybe a little laughing gas . Need you guys opinion on if it would be worth my time or should I try and find something bigger ?? Thanks

Don't waste your time. Get a cam ground to match your mods and how you want the truck to run. You'll be all smiles for miles

Default Z06 Cam

I put a 01 Z06 cam in my 5.3 4X4 1500. The 01 Z06 cam is a bit milder than the later C5 Z06 cams. Picked up about 25 RWHP. Drove and idled pretty well. There are better cams, but free is a good price, and it is not difficult to install.

I think it will perform well especially with the juice, it will enjoy the wide split and wide LSA. I think a speced cam would perform better, but you will gain with the LS6 cam with your mods.
