I contacted a custom engine builder cuz they were selling a Ls2 intake manifold and they said it would not work. It is too low profile and will hit the water pump. And to switch to the car water pump many of the front brackets would also need to be changed.

 

Good point, hadn't thought of that.

 

I'm ordering the 12605109 since it seems to work better/same as originally equipped and it's half the price.

 

Digging up an old thread here, but i gotta question. Picked up an ls3 tb from a member here. It just made it to my place today. I've yet to crack it open and install it, but did check out the TB. Is the gasket located on the intake manifold? Is the stock 87 mm tb gasket compatible with tbe ls3 90mm tb?

 

I just got my ls7 tb , but I'm not a fan of how it opens The opposite direction . The way the stock truck TB opens seems more favorable to the truck style intake ?

Or am im over thinking it .
