I think it was a fuel related fire....it started from up not and missing and stuff. Not really a tranny line issue IMO

I know the situation was somewhat different for you since you only had it for 3 months, but I've had my truck for over 4 years now, and even though I hate the **** out of it sometimes, I don't know how well I'd take losing it in a fire when it could be easily prevented with a fire extinguisher

if the burning tranny fluid spewed onto your engine harness or intake manifold it would definitely cause some missfires and other problems.

After it started, I would have let it burn too. Thats what insurance is for. If it was a trans line, I don't see why the lights would start flashing and it missing bad.

How much money do you think you'd get from insurance I doubt it'd be enough to buy/build a truck as nice as yours again.

Wow.... When I clicked on this thread I did not see that coming. Sorry man. Thats too bad. That was one of the best looking trucks on this site imo. What are the new plans? Build another just like it or go a different route? That new metallic black is pretty sweet!!
