Youngone, you and some of the other guys make some good points. I've kind of thought the truck felt a little stronger with E-85 but I don't trust my seat-o-pants accelerometer all that much. I'm going to try to quantify the performance difference when my local track reopens this spring. If the time slips make the case, I could change my mind about whether it's worth the $66 a month to me.

@ Nkp phil .... 10% of 300hp is 30hp I find it worth it to put a 1/4 tank in on the way to the track lol

I said that from day one about it.. It only is a plus for guys running it in performance apps.. For daily use it is not all it is said to be.

Not too sure you can gain 10-15% more hp on a stock truck by filling up with E85. I've been wrong before, but I didn't have any SOTP gains when I was stock on E85. If you get an aftermarket tune, then yes, gains can be had, especially with forced induction.

Me neither. NA motor with e85 and felt nothing over 93 with bb tune.

Are you flex fuel? .... If u are the power is inevitable .... As the truck senses the ethanol it adjusts what ever tune accordingly.... The power might not slam u in the seat and smoke the tirea off... but its there ... Whether u wanna believe it or not lol

The power difference is only going to be as drastic as the timing tables are different... for the most part. If you haven't logged with E-85 and boosted timing where it can be used, you won't see a whole lot in gains.

True... How much timing is gm set to add as e85 is detected .... I was just told the power is about 10-15% higher and fuel economy almost half as bad as usual .
