Default I think this Sierra looks stupid

I took this photo last year and never got around to posting it here. I think these poser offroad trucks (Cali lean, or faux-runner, or whatever you wanna call it) are moronic. I offroad in the desert nearly every day and there is no benefit to a setup like this, as it only reduces your view as well as descent angles. Thoughts?

It is completely moronic. Not only does it look wrong like something is broken, but it practically defeats the purpose of having a pickup truck. I can't imagine trying to tow a anything with that truck let alone try to off road it. It seems like 90% of people who mod trucks in general do it solely for looks.

That's supposed to be cool? Looks to me like he needs either to get the lead out of the bed, or go talk to a shrink.

The back doesn't look lifted yet. Can't say whether or not that's the case, but trucks I've seen are usually only 'cali'd' by a couple inches. Anything's possible though.

Yeah, they do it a lot. Either a lift kit up front with stock out back (like this one) or a lift all around with big coil spring spacers up front, or a big lift up front with a little lift out back. I can't stand it. I bumped into a guy on here once asking how to build a desert truck and he posted a bunch of pics of these; I replied with my experience and a link to an SVT Raptor and told him to follow that blueprint if he wants to actually build a nice desert truck.

Couldnt agree more.

You obviously dont hang out on gmfullsize where that is king, but usually only if its rolling 22x12 wheels with 31" tires strected on also. Dont forget the chrome IFS drop parts and driveshaft either.
