forget trimming anything and risk screwing up an expensive HID bulb, just buy some 880's and silicone them in...had mine in for over 8 months....even survived hurricane Ike with no problems. Several members on here have done it this way.

I agree, get the 880 bulb, but what about when the bulb goes out or malfunctions, what do you then with all that silicone sealing the bulb in the housing? Thats just my .02

Not a problem....I use GE 100% household silicone glue, same as I used in my headlights clearing. It stays flexible and can be just peeled off....kinda like caulking around your bathtub. Light goes out....just peel it off, replace and re-seal.

Well, to each his own. I'm just glad you posted a writeup. Back when I was trying to do this, I couldn't find anything. Its good there are multiple ways of doing this out there now. Your truck looks tight by the way.
