Header Selection for 2011 Silverado 6.2 2wd
I have been wanting to increase performance and improve the sound of my 2011 crew cab 2wd 6.2 since I purchased it. I waited till the factory warranty (36k miles) expired then purchased a drop in K&N filter, Airaid intake tube and a Diablosport inTune with a "Lew Tune". Truck is more responsive and fun to drive but I still want a better exhaust sound and a few extra horsepower. I have always felt that when enough "mod funds" were available I would purchase ARH long tube headers with high flow cats. I read on this forum and other sites that the ARH product is the highest quality with best fitment but also the highest price. Currently I don't have quite $1400-1500 for the ARH so I was considering a set of Calspeed LT's with 1-7/8" primaries and their ORY pipe for $399 + $50 for their gaskets and band clamps. I'm asking for opinions of whether to purchase the Calspeed product or wait till I have the dollars for the ARH product. With about $1000 difference between the two brands I am having a hard time finding the justification to purchase the ARH LT's. Can anyone share their hands on experience of performance or fitment differences comparing the two brands of headers? I posted a link to the Calspeed product below for reference. Thanks In Advance

That kit has no cats, how are you going to deal with the sel.
If you do anything like a cat back or muffler with that, it will be scary loud.

I intend to utilize factory catback but I agree about the smell. I should have looked closer and saw the system was without cats. I will explore other options and may just decide to wait to afford the ARH system with cats.
