I'm confused, I heard they were lighter but I always found that confusing because they look heaver.

I weighed my 08 sierra rcsb friday night and got 2300kg's (5184 lbs) with me in it (160 lbs) and a half a tank of gas, and with no spare tire. I thought it would be a little bit lighter than that but oh well.

Extended cab standard box 4x4 with a L76/6L80e weighed 3193 front/2142 rear (=5335) without me in it.

i agree it does add alot. but the 60 fts are much better than 2wd. so it does have a plus to it. that 5450 lbs was with me in it and a full stereo system
