Default Got a problem

When ever i go and fuel up my truck it wont start, it will turn over but that would be it. However if i let it sit for a couple minutes it will fire up just fine. After driving it a round a couple miles the restarting issue goes away. My fuel pressure reads 58 psi normally to 61 psi at wot with no variation, and have not noticed a drop so im not completely sold that i got fuel pump issue. Y'all have any input to what would cause this to occur?

my truck was doing the same thing a while back. it would turn over, fire once or twice, then quickly die. mine was related to the factory anti theft system.

if you are talking about the vehicle in you sig, then what octane are you running and what is your compression ratio?

Are you topping it off with as much fuel as you can fit? I have heard this will lead to problems on these new trucks.

I only run 91 octane, compression is factory. I fuel it until the pump shuts off that is it. It could be the anti-theft, though I don't lock my door when I fuel. I do remove the key though. I have run it to half tank, then put a couple gallons back in with no issue whatsoever. I'm stumped.

I had a 99 that wouldn't fire up right away. I'd crank it for about 5 seconds, stop for 5 seconds and try again and it would fire up. I thought it was the fuel pressure regulator, but it turned out to be the fuel pump. The one in the tank, that has to be dropped to get at it. $600 bucks later I never had that problem agian. The truck had 117,000 miles on it though.

You should take it to the dealer, it should be under warranty.

My 2007 does the same thing.. Seems to do it when you drive long distances and run from full to nearly empty and then fill up.. Not sure what is causing it.. I always let it sit for a minute, then try and restart it, always fires.. Not sure if it is related but the check airbag light on the DIC comes on.. do you see this? I did have a code in the BCM for a security code..

Bumfuzzles me..
