So all that is needed is a flex fuel pump and fuel pump driver module? Was it plug and play or was programming required? No sensors needed to be changed for the new flex fuel parts?

Just bought the two parts, plugged em in and they worked. They just had to be matching parts. And from what i understand there are several part numbers for the fpcm which just have different programming depending on flex vs non flex fuel. So, if you buy a new one, you have to get it flashed or you may be able to get your current one flashed. I just found a same year flex fuel truck part on ebay to avoid that hassle at the dealer.

I reused by old pressure sensor, its for the tank pressure not line pressure. It is located on the hat assembly. It is plugged into a rubber grommet just pull it out and put the one from the old hat in.

ill add what ive done in here...
..... i got a flex pump from a 2008 silverado, dropped it in as it came and i got a fpcm from a 2008 flex fuel suburban. put it all back in and fired it up once the fuel lines filled with fuel and got the air out it idled smooth as stock. i turned the truck off and on a few times and even used the remote start. pressured up to 60psi and once warmed up pressure dropped to 43.5 psi or so just like before the swap. i have yet to drive it tho cuz im still waiting on my 4l80e to come in

Has anyone tried just the flex fuel pump swap without changing the module?

Mine threw a light and the fuel pressure was backwards when I did it this way. When you loaded the truck the pressure got commanded low and then out of load went high. Truck still drove fine, but the logs showed that it wasn't right and the dash light never went away until I swapped for a flex fuel fpcm. (see post 59)
