I know but you bought yours used. I dont like buying used fuel pumps. You never know when they finally give up. I feel better knowing I'm feeding high HP with a new pump. Just my .02 cents.

True, it only had 30,000 on it. I'm planning on it being trouble free for many many boosted miles, but I'll always keep my eye on fuel pressure and AFR.

Bringing this back to life, How are those pumps holding up?
I was doing some research on fuel pumps for my upcoming turbo install and came across this thread. I did some searching and it seems that the pumps you guys are using(MU-1847) are not actually flex fuel pumps. The part number i found for a flex fuel pump is AC Delco # MU-1560. Its being listed to fit 2007-2008 models. It seems that the pumps you guys got are working, so I'm wondering if there is really any difference in the pumps themselves or what is different between the two. Any one have any ideas?

I don't know the difference. However the flex pump I swapped in is losing pressure at 13 psi.

Looks like I'll be looking into a Walbro 400/450 or two pumps feeding together.

did you ever do the swap? I was looking at the 255 or 340 and I wasn't able to find one that fit a 2007 5.3. someone had said on my thread that they weren't compatible with the 2007+. do you know if it is only the 400/450 that work?

do you know if that one has a higher lph than a flex fuel? or what the lph is for that matter? also how did it hold up for you?

I haven't made a change yet, still on the same flex pump I swapped in, student loans are consuming all of my disposable income.

Byrdman on here just swapped a 450 into his truck and it appears to be working.
