Default Flexfuel pump swap into non Flexfuel NNBS ???

Just got back from dynoing my truck today. Stock bottom end, Comp Cam with Dual Gold Springs, 60# inj.,6L80e swap, 2500 stall, Trick Stage 3 Intercooled Turbo Kit. At 6 psi it made 440 rwhp @ 5300 and 542 rwtq @ 4000 on a Mustang Dyno. Took awhile to get the right spring in the wastegate and get the boost under control. Had a couple of scary moments at 14psi making 660# of tq at 4200. Looking to upgrade the fuel pump so next time I go back, I can turn up the boost to 10-12psi. Does anyone know if a flexfuel pump assembly fits a non flex fuel nnbs with no mods? Plug and play?

I can't believe its been over a month and no one has chimed in. Are you guys telling me that no one on here ever tried swapping a Flex pump assembly into a non-flex pump truck? Does anyone know if they even fit? Anyone out there ???????????????

i think slammedsilvy was going to give it a shot in his 4.8 truck, but i have not heard if he did anything with it yet. at 12psi his tanked the fuel pressure, so i left him at 6psi. it still hits the fuel pressure fairly hard.

Curious also though. I have been very impressed how far my stock flex fuel pump has taken my truck so it seems like it would be a nice upgrade for the older trucks.

You will find little to no info on NNBS fuel system upgrades. Just not that many pushing the limits, which are fairly considerable with giant injectors. I'm not sure anyone has even tried to put a flex fuel pump into a non flex fuel truck. If the non flex fuel fuel pump control module also delivers a pulse width modulation like the flex fuel unit then there shouldn't be any reason it won't work.

Well I'm not going to buy a non-returnable flex fuel pump just to see if it fits. I was hoping someone had pics or access to one and can chime in. I guess I'll just BAP my truck.

Why don't you wait a month, and see how those squash performance pump setups work out. Supposed to be debuted at sema. Sema is the end of the month/first of November i think.

Those pumps are going to be for NBS trucks. They told me that something should hopefully be out for the NNBS trucks by the end of the year. I want to enjoy my truck as much as possible up here in the NortheEast before the bad weather sets in, so I'm going to BAP it asap.

So you want someone else to buy a pump and try it so you don't have to buy it? Lol

I know on NBS truck there is a content sensor which monitors the % of ethanol in the fuel, the pcm adjust the parameters based on the %blend. Non-flex fuel models do not have the sensor, but this don't mean you can't add the sensor if you wanted to do it. Looking at my wiring schematics it really looks pretty simple to add the sensor, and wiring to the pcm.

Obviously NNBS trucks are a oil different but I'm sure the system is similar.
