Default Finally got it going...

Bought a used Edelbrock kit on here, had to buy a bunch of missing parts but thats a different story for another time. Just figured I would post up not very much with the eforce kit on a silverado. Runs great just needs a little more tuning to get everything sorted then will have to get numbers. Truck made 300 rwhp and 325 rwtq on motor before the supercharger. Thinking should be somewhere around 430 rwhp with the 8 lbs of boost. Link at the bottom is a little video of it idleing.

Question

I been eye-balling this SC, it looks clean. How’s the fuel economy?

like you said, not a lot of guys are running this SC, can you give some likes & dislikes?

So far my fuel hasn't changed too much, I will report back when done tweaking the tune and the newness wears off. LoL I have a hard time not getting into boost I love the sound and pull. Taking my mileage before which was approx. 10mpg in city and 13.5 on hwy, I don't see losing to much more.

Likes would be that it fits great, Looks good and makes great power. Easy install, apart from setting the s/c its a heavy guy.

Another good thing is that this front mount inner cooler fits with the trucool 40k trans cooler up front also.

Cons would be, if you don't have flexfuel you will need to buy the flexfuel pump and control to support the power.

The kit only comes with 36lb injectors but they do recommend an install on a completely stock truck with 5 lbs of boost If you want room to grow a bit the deka 60 lbs short injectors fits the edelbrock fuel rail.

One key part to remember is that edelbrock uses its custom made valley cover, buying the kit used this did not come with it and when I ordered the replacement I got the one for my truck with DoD(my fault). If you have done the dod delete you will need the valley cover from the corvette kit and since this comes from edelbrock cost $230.

Also if you are tuning yourself edelbrock has the new tmap sensor settings on there website in tech.

Well, did a couple of 3rd gear pulls and shows I am running 9 pounds of boost. Pulls hard, so hard that the trans let go. LoL... Now soon to come RPM transmission lvl 6 and a new PI muti-disc torque converter. Calculating from injector duty cycle and going from others truck should be approx 500 rwhp give or take. Will update when dynoed but trans is 3-4 weeks out.

Sorry about your transmission, but thanks for the update keep us posted when you get the new transmission.

I have HP Tuners but I am so reluctant to tune it, If I got one I would most likely leave the Edlebrock tune in there.

83% at 58 psi. Will say I was using the online calculators and was calculating 25% loss. But it's just a guessing game until I hit the dyno or track.
