Default engine swap tips...

okay ill be doin my first truck swap.(5.3 to 6.2)...

any tips yall can give me i should look out for?

thanks anyway i did everyhting today.. but heres a tip for u guys... drink plenty of water if ur doing this in the middle of the day outside. and take alot of break... i did my whole swap bymyself in 6 hours..but theres a price to pay if u do this while not eating drinking or taking any breaks......

6 hours, COMPLETE( bolted trans up), like running or just the engine in and out.. Yes outside is a bitch.. It is better to do in a garage with plenty of fluids( BOOZE) lol

yes 6 hours like all i had left was the belts and to hook up the fuel rail!!!!!

Well if you did all that in 6 hours BY YOU SELF, takin the old motor out, new motor in, including all the the lines wires, trans driveline, running I give you alot of credit.. Thats is a big feat to do in that lil time. It took me and a friend, were both very mechanical savy 11 hours to do it, we rolled

If everything goes right i believe 1 motor out 1 motor in can be done easy in 6 hours ready to run kinda BS though. My truck is 5 speed so its way easier to unbolt the trans and stuff underneath. But i think in 6 hours i might be able to get 1 motor pulled and 1 motor put in but not ready to run.
