eBay long tubes on 6.2???!?
#1
So a guy running around town has a 6.2 with some really good sounding exhaust. I stop and ask him what's been done to it and he said just long tubes and a hand held. I ask him what kind and he said he got them off eBay. I talk to another guy on here that has them but on a 5.3. So what's up with these? Anybody using them? He said they fit great and I can say they look and sound great! Any info?

some people are dumb though and dont know nothin. such as shitty welds and exhaust leaks theyll never notice. rubbing on steering column and drive shafts. rubbing on your spark plug wires and other stuff melting them...you won't get the same hp/tq either. smaller pipes, poorly designed/smaller collectors. save an extra pay cheque or two and get some ARH's or KOOKS. or at least some pacesetters or something a little better quality for the same price.

Lol I know what u mean. Always been a kooks man and don't mind spending money on good stuff, always have. Just was got away with when I saw them. Lol not heard anything bad or good about them. Thought I would ask. Lol thanks for the info.

I'm happy with my $700 OBX's for the 6.2. One place they rubbed is the crossover at the transmission, but not bad. I used summit clamps though on the Y pipe.

The obx/ebay headers are good for the average guy looking for a nice increase in power with out breaking the bank. If you are planing a max effort build go with the arh/kooks headers. I have the obx headers and they have been trouble free for me other than having to weld the the y-pipe center section instead using the band clamps that they come with. Just my $0.02.
