i guess that the carrier bearing takes most of the abuse on a 2 piece

It would be pretty easy to build a 2 piece with a carrier bearing for a reg cab.

local driveline shop was more than happy to set me up with a bulletproof d shaft and the other broken parts just waitin to get them in a day or so

i really gotta get rid of my 1 pc. ive got std cab long bed so its prob another foot longer then yours. although its alum and 4 or 5 inch diameter.. i forget

If they are breaking at a higher speed wouldn't that be a harmonic or balancing problem? As most the stress would be at launch and shift points.

Or maybe the sky is falling but breaking on a dynojet isn't because of twisting forces IMHO...

did you have any drive line vibration before? or ever? could have weakened it over time possibly?
