I think all 2007 and newer gmt 900s have dod. Except for the 3/4 ton HD 6.0l trucks.

is there any other number to look and see if you have dod, cause were trying to figure out if my buddy has dod but there is no noticeable change in exhaust tone when going over 60 mph?? but in another friends it change on and off with that drone, and both are 08 5.3 texas edition trucks.

if its a 5.3L it has DOD
if its a 6.0 i could have DOD or VVT depending the model
6.2 have VVT

look at the valley cover if there is a PVC tube in the valley cover then it doesnt have DOD if its a rigged valley cover then you have DOD

There is no downside to removing it...as long as you keep your foot out of it, you can get better gas mileage on pretty much any vehicle.

you have DOD on your 5.3 thats why you have the 4cyl an 8cyl mode on your DIC.

New Denali's are 8 cylinders 24/7, we 5.3 owners got the damn 4 cylinder mode, and I'm telling you, if ur facing the wind and you got an exhaust system installed, the sound is crap, shifting between 4 to 8 all the time... with a noticeable poping into the muffler lmao.
