Default Dash cracks

Anybody in here ever replace the whole dash? I can literrally pick off chunks of it now. I guess the Az sun really did a number on it. I see the ebay 1 peice covers that glue on, but not a fan. Im also having a tough time getting the correct part number. Its a 2008 standard dash I guess.

I plan on replacing mine at some point. I have repaired it so many times now, it looks like garbage. It is getting so brittle that the repairs don't event hold any more. The spot where the center speaker sets is the biggest issue.

I am just worried that a new dash will be made out of the same shitty plastic and will eventually do the same. Once I get it changed out, I may get some clear UV blocking film for the windshield to help keep the Florida sun from killing it again.

You can splurge and do the Escalade conversion. I believe the Escalade has a leather dash that doesn't crack as much

I did the Dashskin cover on my wife's Denail and it came out pretty good. The factory had so many cracks it was horrible.

Nice but a big conversion requiring programming and even new controls on the door and of course a new console.

I don't think you would need to swap door switches. Just the climate control I believe.

Do the 1955 Chevrolet passenger car dash conversion... no more cracks except maybe a couple ribs if you're not buckled tight!

2nd gen C/10

Damn, that looks good. My dash is in pieces, squeaks and rattles.

That's what I was considering, well a metal not necessarily the 55.

Is this an actual kit? I'd modify to make it fit.
