**** FROM A DEALERSHIP TECHNICIAN POINT OF VIEW ****

Go to another dealer. If the 2nd dealer tells you the same thing, call customer service.
Way to many dealers now are LOOKING for reasons to void warranty claims and push the
cutomer into customer pay repairs. Customer pay repairs equal more money to the dealer
service department, parts department, and the technician. In my dealer, we have cycled through the service manager. The previous ******* was this way, anything he can find and try to pin on the customer to void warranty he would. We now have someone who is opposite. He will fight for the customer - which in turn, keeps them happy. When the customer is happy, they typically return for other work. Return customers equal money for all.
Warranty should cover the repair.
If you still have a problem from the second dealer, let me know. My service manager has heavy pull within the GM warranty world.
