Mines an 07, but Ive got the LTZ interior, yours is the LS/LT truck interior, thus the difference in dash.

My in laws' work truck is a 2008 LS with 180k miles. It had some AC electronics replaced when it was pretty new, and they didnt seat one of the clips properly when reassembling it. So it cracked worse than usual from the stress.

I've actually had about a 3x5 chunk of the dash break completely around in a circle, hit a good bump one day and it fell into the ******* dash...

The GM replacement deal only applies to the first owner and I bought mine as a certified used. They quoted me $900+ to fix it. I've actually considered one of those tacky *** looking dash mat/rug things to cover it... I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it.... I just refinanced the damn thing to get a much better rate so I don't see me getting rid of it anytime soon.

Damn thats a crap load to replace a dash. My boss replaced his 08 dash and its just held on by a bunch of 7mm bolts. Everything electrical mostly bolts on to the dash subframe so the actual dash is like a cover.

Is this issue for all dashes or mostly limited to the ls/lt platform? Read through all five pages and didn't see an issues with the ltz dash. My 07 ltz nnbs has 85k and she isn't cracked.
