Corvette Engine Swap
#1
I have a 2008 GMC Sierra crew cab 4X4 W/5.3
Looked but did not find any info.
I was wondering about swapping in a later 6.2 from a Corvette. Is it as easy as changing the accessories and a tune?

Wham bamm thank ya maam. Pull out 5.3 stuff in 6.2 with all of your accessories and oil pan and exh manifolds from the truck tune it and call it a day. simple as pie.
Save your money on a "corvette 6.2" Find you a pull out from a denali or escalade or a 6.2 NHT max truck save a little money and slam it in. They are the exact same motor.

Twere me I'd do a shift kit and servos in it drive it till it pukes then handle trans at that time.
For that matter do a harness swap later on down the road when and if it dies and stick a 6L80 or 90 behind it and call her done.
