Supposedly we have that motor to thank for the gen3 LSX design..Story goes around 95-96 Gm wanted to design a new small block v8..Apparently some execs wanted dohc and some wanted pushrod/cam in block..Well they put a LT5, and a LTX in two identical vettes...The big wigs then drove each car and liked the "instant low end torque" of the LTX vette..It was then decided to design a new cam in block/pushrod v8..I guess the rest of the automaker industry mocked GM for using "ancient" technology...I am sure they are not laughing now...I for one love the simplicity of the ls motors

How different from the ZF-650 is that ZF-640?

Will it bolt up to an LS based V8?
