Ok, I finally got a little time last night to fool around with it and got another hand to look at it. The rough idle and shaking was my engine code "p0304" 4th cylinder misfire. Somehow the boot came off the spark plug when me or one of my buddies took the dipstick tube out. So I fixed that and the Poping noise I been talking about was the Transmission dip stick tube rubbing against the tranny or firewall. The reason being, somehow someway the tube got bent so i rigged it up to work for the time being. I honestly think my friend ran over with it when we went to go get lunch. haha no biggy.. on 9 bucks at chevy. I'm serious this sound was getting annoying as hell!! the best description i can give you is that it sounded like popcorn in the microwave..
Thanks for all the help and tips everyone!

Good to hear you got this figured out. I can see how that would get annoying quickly.

I would make adjustments to the tune now unless you will be doing the cam and gears in the next week or two.
