Camera clarity - I would say it mostly depends on the viewing screen, our GM Navi screens are far from HD quality, so that's my complaint. as far as night viewing I always get glare from my reverse lights & license plate lights, I lose most of my range b/c of glare. I would say in low light levels it could be better.

Tow hitch - I thought I made this 100% clear when I said its a 1 man operation & "saves marriages", I always could get it close enough by myself and then nudge the trailer onto the hitch, the camera speeds up the process and is more accurate no more nudging, just backup, and boom trailer drops right down you look like pro! so yes you can see the ball and hitch in the camera, the camera shows the image just barely passed the bumper.

Parking lines - I would say that's a built in option/interface, my 2013 truck has parking lines but its a Navi option in the menu's I can turn it on or off. the parking lines use steering angle sensor to show the path. my mom as a 2010 caddie & it doesn't have the parking line/s option.

looking at the OEM and aftermarket camera's on ebay & amazon they are around the same price about $300+ so its up to you on the camera. GM will replace the camera if you buy it from a dealer under their 12 month warranty if something goes wrong.

I always say I work for a local car dealer and this part is important!!! go to the parts department ask for the wholesale price!
