Anyone try this a camaro zl1 fuel pump control module on a nnbs

Default Anyone try this a camaro zl1 fuel pump control module on a nnbs

I heard a ZL1 FPCM at 4000 rpm boosts the fuel pump up to 70 psi..i was going to get the connector and m0dule and see if it would do the same on our trucks!!Is this possible anyone know if this is true!!!I know our trucks boost it up to 58psi but it must give it more..

I'd like to know what you find out. I've read the fuel pressure increase was boost referenced, so I don't know if it's a direct swap since the ZL1/ZR1 uses 3 MAP sensors and a different PCM. I wish the ZL1 pump was a direct swap, that would be my next project.

Anyone know if our factory FPCM can handle a bigger pump? Main power wires look like 10 gauge, would be cool to use one of those Fuel Lab variable voltage pumps that flow a lot as a replacement in tank pump. Let the FPCM control flow and pressure in the tune and just let it eat. Flex fuel pump has gotten me pretty far but in need of an upgrade.

I was down for almost 2 months because I maxxed the stock Flex fuel pump, and a BAP didn't work so did a standalone dual pump setup

I don't think that you will gain as much extra fuel flow as one might think for all of the extra hassle from the 58 to 70psi bump. There has got to be someone here that knows the equations, but I would guess 5% extra fuel flow or less.

I'm trying to remember what I did on my terminator, but vaguely remember removing something in my fuel tank and rewiring the computer that told the fuel pump when 9v to 12v transition was appropriate so that it had 12v all of the time.

I also had a mechanical (rather than electronic) boost actuated FPR that raised fuel pressure from 50 to 70psi. Many consider that as more of a bandaid on another rig. I did have minor sucess with the BAP on that one though in conjunction with a larger walbro pump.

Sorry for the late reply, I had a speed shop do the work for me since I had no clue what the hell I was doing. Google Billy Ray Motorsports, He is the guy behind my fuel setup and a few others on here. Give him a call and he can help you out. I think carbongmc got his info from him also. Hope that helps I don't wanna give u the wrong info lol.

Just put in walbro 450 in and let it eat. My setup is working good at 800 rwhp.
