Anyone with experience with rear airbags on their NNBS?

I am tired of the sagging rear look of my truck when towing. Has anyone used the firestone or airlift rear airbags on their NNBS truck? I am also curious if it would be a problem since my truck has 1" of rear lift or if I'd have to modify the kit.

Thanks in advance for your responses

I have the Firestone kit on my truck and it works great for towing and since its AWD, I also inflate the bags slightly to put more weight on the front tires to prevent the truck from prancing around when I launch it on the N2O.:burnout:
The kit was also a breeze to install and i didnt have to cut or modify anything. My only slight complaint is that since I have the 2" drop shackles, the bags are pretty crumpled when they're deflated, but with stock height or 1" of lift like you have, they should be perfect. Let me know if you need the part # and I'll see if I can find it for you.

If you have 1 inch of lift, you won't need anything special. Just bolt in the regular kit and run them. Most of the bags need between 5-6.5 inches between the 2 mounting plates at static height(bags not inflated). Just using that as an example to show you that an inch shouldn't matter.

Thanks for all of the quick replies...I went ahead and ordered the airlift setup.

I'm running the airlift setup...but mine is the slam air kit for lowered trucks...works great, and I added the on board compressor as well...I also put the regular airlift kit on two of my fathers trucks to help him haul his camper trailer...he loves them!!

I had to drill holes for my kit, but my dads is a direct bolt on...took all of 30 minutes to install!!

bumping up this old thread. v8 hunter how was the bag install with a 2" rear block?

The airbags ride great and give the extra load capacity I wanted. I don't see any drawbacks at all to putting them on. You would have never known that I had anything other than the stock ride height with the way they function. Keep in mind that my 2" blocks only give 1" lift over stock since the stock truck had 1" factory blocks. I normally run my airbags at a pretty low pressure (5-10psi) since I drive alot of miles and my fuel mileage takes a hit when the bags are pumped up more and the back end sits higher.
