my truck (in my sig) most definitely has a 1pc steel driveshaft, and i bought the truck new. the driveshaft is rusty, a magnet will stick to it, and its pretty heavy.
at what speed should i worry about the driveshaft? i've had it up to 135mph, and didnt notice any odd vibrations.

I emailed a local driveline shop that typically does 4x4 shafts and race cv axles but I figured they might be able to do something.
He was talking about increasinh my u joint size and the yoke on my diff.
Is that really needed? Couldn't I just use the same slip yoke on my current shaft then swap the garbage aluminium for a 5" steel shaft and hi speed balance? Use factory u joints?
