ABS/Check Eng light on at WOT???
I recently had my converter swapped. I got the 2800-3200 TB I6 converter from Circle D. I also had the aftermarket header gaskets replaced with the original steel gaskets. I had a leak with the aftermarket header gaskets and now that its nice and sealed i notice that i get timing knock at high rpm. Need to retune.
I did a few pulls from 0 and others from 30 mph. I noticed that going from 0mph, the ABS light came on. I did another from 0 and the Check Eng light came on. I disconnected the batt and put it back on and closed the exhaust cut out. I did several runs from 0 mph and the ABS light comes back on but no Check Eng. When i open the cut out, the Check Eng comes on when i do a run from 0 mph and the ABS also comes on.
ABS light does turn off after i turn the truck off but the Check Eng stays on. What could this be???
Oh, sorry for the long story. Thanks in advance for your help.

it's not the sensors. Do a search for ABS in Tuning and Diagnostics and there is a few threads on this issue.
Here is one that should help.

thanx for the info. The thing is, that the ABS light comes on only when i floor it. I turn the truck off and back on and the light goes off. I drive it around normally and no lights come on at all. And the check eng light comes on sometimes after a solid run after the ABS light comes on. The check eng light wont come off unless i disconnect and reconnect the battery.

my guess is, my tuner took all of it off. But even with no tq management, my truck wouldnt do a burn out or smoke the tires the way it does now with the tq converter. when i wouldnt launch from 0mph without the converter, it would kinda squeel the tires, with the 3000 converter, it tears em up.

I just put the same converter in my truck just a few hours ago and mine after a hard launch from a dead stop set the abs light also? Put the scanner on it and i cant remember the code # but it was something about steering!? I just cleared it...I'll give it another good running tomorrow and see if it comes back up
