Haha, nope!! Got Chevy blood coursing through my veins brother! Here's a link. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...rtymax-502093/
One think you gotta remember is, to get a stroker only into the 12's, it's gonna take alot of converter. How big was your verter 62nalide?

This I know about a4 vs a6, I do agree andy will get there.but has anyone yet with a simple plug and play set up? SSS truck with cam LTs and 112 got to mid 12s much easier and plug and play compaird to the 6.2s weight isnt that much different.Who here has done a simple FI to run consistant with same set up as SSS starting with 60 more HP?

Blower, cam, longtubes, tune. On a 6.2 you should get 12's easy. Show me one that has all of that, and hasn't gotten into the 12's. All of the ones that I've seen are blower only. And they run very low 13's.
Those SSS trucks had the same combo, and 4.10 axle gears. Doesn't your truck have 3.73's? Most of the 6.2 trucks I've seen do.

i loved my vvt cam vs this shitty ls9 cam im actually getting some new heads with CNC work done and they were not so bad on price and a good 3200 stall would really wake the truck up, a member on here Pl4yboy has a 6.2L Z71 in the high 12s with this same setup but i think he is non vvt

Thinking big, Gonzo? You beat me at Woodburn, so I up my game by 0.6 in the quarter. Now you're going for 12s? I'm outa my league here ....
Seriously, I think (from reading, not from doing any FI myself - I've only done NA hotrods) for a DD it would be hard to do better than one of the blower kits. You get seriously increased drivability all across the rpm range. For getting the absolute lowest et I say go for a turbo.
For internal engine parts and bolt-ons, the basic rule is they all work together. Your increased displacement from stroking will want to breathe better and needs LTs and intake, plus maybe a bigger cam. If you go a little too big on the cam you WILL need a converter. If you max all that out you might try a little head work. The hard part is finding the balance of how much power it makes and where it makes it, to go with your driving needs and the size of your wallet.
Speaking of "your driving needs," your NHT 6.2 is rated for a maximum trailer weight of 10,700 lbs, and a maximum gross combined weight of 16,000 lbs.
Go for it Bro This is going to be really fun to watch!

HI Phil, thanks for chiming in.The idea of a stroker has me just thinking out loud and wanting to hear everyone here views.
On this very forum about 2003 a guy named Kelly, cant remember his member name but he had a 01 denali truck C3,remember those? He stroked out his 6.0 to a 408 and tossed on a set of 243s that were hand ported with longtubes,he ran either 12.8 or 12.5,cant remember which, then hit it with a 300 shot and put it in the 10s.
I had talked to him on the phone one time, hellava nice guy and the funny thing was I could have sworn I was talking to Dale Jr. this guys voice and inflection and drawl sounded exact.Sometime later he got rid of the truck and got into diesels,I need to try and find his old posts
Anyways ,it seemed he made big gains with a stroker.
