It's a way of comparing runs at different altitudes or temperatures to standardize. Otherwise you don't have a clue how much your best time may have been affected by temp, humidity, altitude, etc. You can't compare a run at 70* at sea level to one at 5,000' at 100* without something to normalize for the different density of the air. From what I gather my corrected times for our track are pretty damn close to what the slip says.

I started to head back out last night, decided to wait for the front to push through. May go later tonight after it cools down. Tonight's low is 63, 26 degrees cooler should help.
