Default 6.2/6L80 in Flex Fuel Truck?

I was reading a couple of threads on here about doing the 6.2/6L80 swap and I saw that the swap gets more complicated if you have a 5.3 Flex Fuel (LMG) truck because these don't come with an extra fuel module in the back?
Is this true for just 07 LMGs or does that include 08 and up LMG trucks?

Heres the thread.......its on page two towards the bottom.

I wasn't going to reply because I already posted in the other thread but the 07 and 08 truck with LMG engines do not have the module. If you are 09 up you are good to go as far as I can tell from GM diagrams.

I'm sure there is a way around it and somebody will post a solution eventually.

Thank you niugnep. I was actually thinking about sending you a pm since you seem to be the only one who knows anything about this.

Do you know what this module looks like or any info so that I can go see if my truck has it?

Its located up in the spare wheel area on the cross brace (towards the LH side if I remember right). I have a friend at GM who is very helpful, I was going to post the line drawing of the module but I can't get a hold of him to get the diagram.

I haven't seen one in person as my truck does not have it. I have more info in the other thread.

Would the module be the one on the top? Its on the drivers side right beside the spare.

Thank you bro

I think I do have the module. I might go to my cousins house tomorrow and compare his 07 to make sure.

I was little impatient because I was hoping to do the swap this weekend and I didnt want to find out when its all put in place that it wouldnt work. But I think the swaps gonna have to wait a couple of weeks cuz I might be putting a procharger with it. But honestly thank you for the help.

Looks like it to me, nothing else mounted in that area. I'd be getting excited too, if you do the swap you should take pics and document anything done or problems because people are always looking for info. As these trucks get older more people will start modding.

Personally I'd just do the swap and get that working first, then add the procharger once you are happy with the base Install. Certainly makes things easier if you have any issues along the way.

Keep us posted...
