Default 2500 HD Denali bumper question

Hello

Hoping someone can help me

My front bumper on my 1500 GMT900 Sierra Denali needs to be replaced

I can only find a local 2500 HD Sierra Denali bumper which includes the chrome piece

Can anyone please tell me if its a direct swap or if I need to modify anything.

I searched and all I found was info pertaining to the bumper cap piece (which I believe I dont need) being taller to accommodate the larger front grill

Can I just replace the bottom part of the bumper without any major mod?

Any input or help would be greatly appreciated!

Pics would be even better!!

Thank you

Few months back I tried putting a Denali HD grille on my 1500 Sierra with the 1500 bumper pad and some of the little clips didnt coincide with each other. I do believe you need all the HD Denali parts for them to fit good together without modifying anything on the parts other than the HD hood which I have on right now. Otherwise if you have everything its a direct complete swap with the same 1500 brackets.

Im no expert but thats what i have been told, im planning on getting everything HD Denali swapped in in about a month or 2.

I did just the 2500 bumper and Denali valence swap. You can use your 1500 bumper cap, but you have to take out the inner plastic piece for it to fit correctly. Also, you need to grind the 1500 bumper brackets down for it to fit, and slot the holes more so the bumper drops down lower. You need to cut and reweld the end brackets as well so those line up. Its not that hard, but it does take a little while to do.

I did the complete 2500 denali swap. I had to get the 2500 brackets and still had the fab them since the cap drops the bumper down. Takes time. It's a pain.
