22in wheels
#11
I have some pics on my phone that I will try to download and post later tonight. The handling feels as good as factory 20's IMHO. I like my new tires better in looks and feel.

New guy here - hey all. Have a 2012 Silverado Ext. Cab W/T with about 340 miles on it. Got it 2 weeks ago.
Do you know of any connection between 'oversized' wheels and suspension wear? People I know with wheels larger than stock on their vehicles experience hub assembly failure, coil springs busted in half, ball joint death, etc ??
I'd like to change my stock W/T 17's with something more attractive but don't wanna kill my warranty. This is a 2 week old truck.
Interested in hearing what you guys think.

Changing wheels will not void your warranty.

By 'oversized' I was thinking over 22" - GM offers these trucks with 22's, if I'm correct, so it must be okay, but 24's, 26's -
Just wondering if anyone has personally seen or had a vehicle with these larger than stock wheels on it and had problems.
I had 18's on a 2005 mini-van back in 2005(yeah yeah, stop laughing) and i was constantly in the shop having the sway bar bushings replaced cos they popped alot. When a couple of my tires had belt issues (after 3000 miles) I decided to sell and go back stock. Once I went back stock, no more sway bar bushing problems.
Just an example of the problems I'm asking about.
Thanks for the reply tho.
