I'm a little late to the game, but my 12 Silverado crew with the 6.2 and 3.73s ran a 9.47 in the 1/8th, 100% stock, but I think I had the benefit of altitude compared to you guys.....

Before you drop all the money on the headers or gears try an underdrive pulley...I expect that to get you in the 8s. I went from an average of 14.45 @ 98.1 (2 runs) to 14.05 @ 100.7 (2 runs) with just an underdrive pulley installation . Keep in mind that these are per my old g-tech meter and were in 4wd to negate wheel spin. My other mods at the time were diablosport 92 tune, MIT/Filter, & ported throttle body, but the installation of the UDP was the only difference between the runs. I now have a BB tune and am not running the ported tb any more since I'm not convinced that it did anything other than require more fuel.

Read in a magazine where they replaced 20" wheels with 24" wheels in back to back dyno runs and lost 30rwhp with the 24's.

If you have 17's laying around you could get a set of drag radials a couple inches shorter than what your running now. That would reduce some weight and improve traction as well as gearing.
