wow, I was assuming 3.73's! 4.10's would get you 8's with the mods you have.

you are 2wheel drive, live with the 3.42s. for the cost to do a swap you can get better mods.On this forum there are several fast 3.42 trucks with min. mods

I was thinking the way the trans is geared that I could live with the 3.42's for now,do the headers, little more tunning maybe even a e85 tune and wait on some cool air for now and then see.THANKS!

I'm with Gonzo on getting area47. My guy tunes with HP tuners and he's the best around here. Of course I may be a little bias! Ha but my brothers runs in the 8's with 20's and ONLY a tune and 3.73's

Can't say nothing but good things about my tuner, been with him a long time and he has always done me a good job.when I took the truck down to him my dumb *** put some 87 in it before I left so when I got there filled it up with 93,so had a little screwed up mixture there when we were tunning it,so since I've about ran that tank out we can probably get some more timing in it,and the air down here is thick *** hell right now 90 something with humidity about the same.I no it's more in it just got to find some time to mess with so it's going to be a a month or so before work slows down.Silverado6.2 where was ur brother racing at and what was the exact time if you don't mind me asking.THANKS!

I think you meant my brother? Ha he ran a 8.91 and we were at bama Dragway in sumiton Alabama. They have shut down now but we have I22 Dragway just about 10 miles up the road. I think that night it was about 75 degrees..I don't remember the DA to be honest. But it wasnt just ridiculously humid.
