Exclamation 2011 z71 HID lighting question

Sup fellas, Im trying to put HIDs in my fog lights... I found a kit from HIDnation that I wanna go with, and its saying 35 bucks for the kit. I have a friend who has had multiple kits on his vehicles from this website, so I'm confident in their product.
But since I'm doing the HID's in the foglights, does anyone know if Ill need the relay harness? Im gonna go with the free 35 watt slim ballast since I think thats what I need, I know he said he's always used that one. But the main thing is yet again, Do I need that relay? Looking to order asap, so lemme know asap!
Thanks!

And if this isn't in the right area of the forum, if someone would be so kind as to point me to the direction and area this belongs, that would be great!

Not sure what bulb's come in that kit you describe. But hopefully it's a a bulb with a prjector lens on the end like in the link i provided so you aren't blinding anybody with unfocused HID lights. I can't stand meeting vehicles where people put HID bulbs into a standard housing and the light is so unfocused it blinds everyone. Plus unfocused light is useless. The bulbs below work very good, and have proven to be reliable and focused. Please don't put HID's in your standard factory headlight housings, just leave a standard bulb in there unless you are going to do a full retrofit.

Lol its funny because further research I was able to find exactly what you said. And I don't wanna be a dick so I went with LED lights. Looked at the Cree lights, but ultimately went with these per the recommendation on another forum:

LED fogs are really the way to go. HIDs just take too long to warm up for a beam that won't always be on. I have HIDS as my main beam but I have the hi/low mod. For the fogs I have LEDs that have a 700 foot beam. People think a river barge is coming down the road. (fyi they are aimed at the ground and not peoples' eyes)

I am using Kensum HID and love them! I'm running 6k in lows, highs and fogs. I also have them posted down a little to help eleven blinding oncoming traffic. Research them and you will find they have a great reputation. Also you can buy directly from them...

I totally agree that putting HID's in fogs ends up with crazy blinding light. But, those LED fogs aren't great in that department, either. I know; I've got some and not terribly happy with them. Just because they have those lenses in the end that look like projectors, doesn't mean they are correct optically and do the job you think they would. They are still pretty blinding to oncoming drivers, just fortunately not nearly as bright as most HID conversions.
