Default 2011-12 GMC HD grill

Anyone try the new GMC HD grill on there half ton? Is it the same size? I want to color match one on my 09.

yes it fits with minor trimming and it'll stick out

not 100% sure i know 08Chevy did it try PMing him but i can be done and you would have to get the hood trim too

No the gmc hd grille doesn't directly fit like the Chevys hd grille. It's a lot taller then the 1500 grille, you would have to get the taller 2500 upper cap but in doing so would have to lower the bumper which you would end up doing the whole hd swap. The hd hood fits tho direct swap. For Chevys tho I think it fits as all you have to do is trim the lower part of the grille.

I ran by a dealer the 07 -10 gmc grills look bigger but the 11-12 look the same size as mine i forgot a tape measure to make sure.

I thought the 11-12 looked the same size too, but trust me, its not. With the bumper being bigger on the new trucks, it makes the grill looks smaller, but its still larger then the half ton grill shell.

what about the bumper brackets / which ones do i use?heard u flip the stock ones and grind the corners a hair and they work?im doing this rite now but am stuck on the brackets so i need help
