i found velocity with a 823 head is almost identical to a 862 head and low lift numbers were awesome because of the excellent chamber design and simply smoothing the runners you will get insane amount of flow all tested on a superflow 1200 when I worked for superior. tried several ways to make more flow (bought a couple sets when they first came out and were$180 bare casting from gm) best bang for buck was sand rolling runners , valve job and aftermarket valves
