i went to clean my throttle body this past weekend and noticed the throttle body butterfly was open a little bit, enough for me to get my finger under it and open all the way.

Is this normal? On my 01 5.3, I thought it was closed when I cleaned it.

was the truck running or key on? *stupid question but gotta ask it*

you should be fine just unplug the harness, and pull the TB off and clean it with a lint free rag after

 

ha, i knew it was going to be asked...no, truck was not running/key was not in the ignition. I already cleaned it and runs normal, just thought it was interesting to see the tb a little open when off.
