Default 160* Thermostat in a NNBS?

I just put mine in yesterday and have been hearing bad things about it. Who else is running one and have you had any problems?

Mine is running fine with it, but temp can go from 180-210. Just varys on driving.

I have been running one for 3 years. My temp runs around 185 most of the time. No problems though. Heat seems to be fine in the winter.

Good to know. I've had a few people say that you will see loss of power and mpg(I have a lead foot anyway)

Just getting some opinions.

Most everyone runs a 160, not everyone, but most everyone.

I have had one in my 2010 CC for over a year and it has done fine.

I have one in my 2011 EC and it is doing fine.

Best of luck to you.

running mine with 160 * & no problems... there's been threads on ls1 that lsx engines like 210* better than lowers temps.. but in tx hot weather i think 160* on our trucks work great..

Good point you make there, except he won't drive his truck if its hot outside.

I have read in other threads that oil performance isn't what it should be when using a 160 thermo. In the thread I remember some one posting that oil needs the higher temp to operate at its full potential. I never researched it but it make some since considering the multi viscocity oils we all use.......anybody remember that thread?? or have input on this?

But on another note I have a friend that has used a 160 in his LT1 camaro for years and has had ZERO problems.
