So I've been working on putting a 13 silverado back together that had been in a fire. All the wiring has been replaced on the truck. When putting a new transmission harness on I noticed that one of the pins was broke on the control module. So I either have to pull the trans and get it replaced or buy another one.What all years would work for the 13? Also if I find one that came out of a 4wd and same year as mine would I have to get it re-programmed? Thanks

 

The PCM and TCM need a matching calibration so to speak. You'd have to flash the transmission with the correct file to make it work.

Anything 2010-2013 would work if it came from like a Silverado/Sierra.

 

Does the flash have to been done at a dealership or could it be done with HP tuners

 

Dealer or independant shop who can do flash programming. HPT cannot program OE calibrations
