Yes the 08s do have AFM.

I looked at a 08 Vmax we have at work on the used car lot right now. This is straight off its build sheet:
L76 - VORTEC 6.0L V8 (367 H.P.) WITH ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT

Yeah, I have a 2007 V-Max and it comes with AFM. I have it turned off in my Black Bear Tune. I also want to get the DOD Delete Kit.

Its a good buy. I would take the 6.0 any day, I would hate not having the 6-speed though.

I'm not sure what the obsession is with turning off AFM. I tuned mine to make it stay on longer.... With a 6.0 it would be even more beneficial.

Only if I was doing a cam swap, would I turn it off.
