Heres a fresh install of MCG spindles (he spray painted them black) and as you can see the balljoints dont seat fully into the spindle. I verified with him if they were tight and he said yes as tight as they would go, and he mentioned MCG even said in the instructions that the balljoint wouldnt seat properly and that was normal. It may be normal for MCG, but stock they seat fully and on the GF they seated fully too.

yeppers thats how mine was. i had to wiggle the boot down to cover the rest of the balljoint properly.
In my book, balljoints not seating fully=upper control arm in higher position than stock=not stock geometry.

Damn, I bought a belltech kit from Stylin a couple of months ago and haven't installed them yet. I'm waiting to gather a few more parts. I have a NNBS crew that I'm going to lower 2/3. Did I screw up by getting the belltech?

Not to bring a thread back from the dead but, did you finish the 2/3 drop? This is the drop I want to do on my 2010 CC. Do you have pics? Did you go with just springs and shocks or did you do spindles as well? How does it ride compared to stock? I have been told that it will align to factory specs with the 2" drop springs and no spindles in the front. I want the ability to put my spare on if need be..... (from what I have read, 2" or more and the ball joint bolt will hit the inside of the wheel on anything 17" and under).

Sorry for the blast of questions!

I just installed my MCG spindles last night and the alignment is TERRIBLE. I am going to take a tapered reamer and try to ream the upper balljoint hole so that they sit in there flush. ( i have access to such things ) I will post up the findings if and when i get this done..

Does everyone just set toe with a tape? good enough for about 50 miles to the shop for alignment right?

Ground force spindles installed on mine, and the alignment was damn near not changed at all. I still kept the stock plastic clips on that came from the factroy that are on the control arms

I have the old pre-2005 BellTechs and I lost alot or turning radius. Didn't BellTech revise their spindles sometime in '06-'07?

Guys with the GF spindles, what kind of turning radius comparted to stock? If truly it is near stock I will switch immediatly, man I hate having to make a 180*, I can barely turn with 2 open lanes.

I can measure my radius tonight but I dont think it changed much, cause I dont notice any more difficult turn? Buddy's got the same truck not lowered, we will check tonight
