Default Wrecked the Truck

Well 12:30 last Sunday morning I was about two miles from the house when I hit a full grown Black Angus cow. I don't know how I didn't see it but I didn't till I could already see its eye's. I hit the brakes but it was to late BAM!!!! To top it all it was my Birthday also thats one hell of a present to tear your truck up. Had about 2000 miles on it since the 6.0 swap. the plan now is to put it back together with the newer style front end. [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

I started taking it apart some yesterday since I had to wait on the insurance adjuster to get his report.

Yea it still bothers me when I walk into the shop and see it and yes its totaled 6 grand worth of damage. The adjuster was a car guy he tried to help me out but there was to much wrong. He has a Slammed blacked out thaoe he told me about I was glad he wasn't a dick. There suppose to contact me tomorrow on the settlement Im gonna try to settle for lil less and keep the title clean or buy it back either way she isn't going anywhere. I found and 05 coming up at the auction next week Im going to try to get for a parts truck. As for the cow I didn't keep it that was the last thing on my mind at the moment, but it prolly busted her guts. Got what she deserved dumbass cow.

I was running maybe 50 tops actually doing the speed limit actually lol. The only thing on the engine it touched was the alternator. The core support hit directly on the alternator pulley and put a few very small cracks in the housing. So the engine is good

Wow, that sucks man, sorry to hear about this. too bad it's totalled too, definitely fixable though, not at all out of the possibility of rebuilding it.

I hit a deer once with my GMC Typhoon...insurance adjuster didn't know what the car was until he started realizing how much it was gonna cost to fix it!!

Is Alabama a free range state? In Kansas if you hit livestock on the road/highway, the farmer isn't responsible for any of the damages... dumbest. law. ever.
