Default Wondering What Times To Expect???

Wondering what times should I expect out of my current setup!!!

02 stepside reg cab silverado, LQ9, Custom tune, K & N intake, 4.88 gears, T-56, 3" dual Exhaust

Takeoff/Traction is going to be my main concern, current everyday tires are 255/50/17 kumbo 27" tires and I feel the truck is geared to low with these tires. With that in mind how much would Slicks in about a 30" tire help me in times.

Or other setup/tips might help me get to lower times quicker....

Thanks in advance....

27" tires and 4.88 final drive ratio!!! WoW!! Yeah, you are geared way too low imo. You will be crossing traps in 4th. 4.10's would be more appropriate for 30" tires, you are going to have some fun trying to stick even slicks!

No No thanks for the input... Pretty new, haven't really figured out what power/gearing is best for quicker times with this setup.. What you would think it would run now, and with 4.10's And Thank you!

My best so far is 8.4 in the 1/8th with slicks. It was retarded without slicks, no traction at all and I would assume you will have the same problem........

x3 no lower than 4.10s. You'll have much more torque than mine with a 5.3L, and I'm anticipating traction issues with 4.10s & 30" tires (now that my truck's tune seems to be MUCH better). Your tire pressure must be a lil lower than 16 - 20 psi for 1320' runs, huh? Good luck!
