Wipers work fine, but when I turn them off, they go all the way down where they should, and the come back up a few inches. I HATE it. Looks like my wipers are halfway up my windshield.

What could be the problem? Doesn't seem it would be the motor as they work fine and have plenty of power. And they are aligned properly as I get the correct range of motion.

Suggestions?

i have this SAME problem. very annoying, b/c when they are on high, they go all teh way down and make a clunk noise, instead of going down and stopping 1inch from the bottom.... but when they are off, they do the same thing you're saying... i haven't figured it out yet....

 

I bought a new (used) wiper assembly for like $35. All better.

I figure the motor must have had a bad spot in the gears. It was HORRIBLY annoying.

 

Mine has been like that for a long time.. i use to push them down but when you get up to speed they creep back up.

I bought it from a member on here.

But I've seen several sets on ebay for around the same price.
