but i say cts or gto for the wifey..

 

if your thinking cts-v, then get the goat. it's cheaper, and it has the same powertrain if get the 05 and up.

 

Plan on having or already have kids? Skip all the two doors and go for the CTS-V if the answer is yes.

 

CTS-v Wife had an 04 3.2L 5 speed. Only regrets is it wasn't a V series.

 

Get one that is GM Certified with the 5yr/100K warranty and let GM worry about any major repairs. When the warranty is up, dump it.

I vote LS2 GTO.

What about an Impala SS. If you/she can handle the front wheel drive!

 

I test drove the impala SS and was not impressed. Front wheel drive and any power just spins. The wheels are ugly as well. The monte carlo SS looks better but still the traction issues. CTS-V if you want a car. TBSS if you want SUV. Both have the LS-2.
